Filtration plays an important role for many of our well-known customers. They come from the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries as well as from the water engineering sector. Our stainless steel pressure components are designed and calculated according to AD2000 as standard. The set of rules is widely accepted even outside Germany due to its testing and documentation requirements.

which allows us to deal with substances that are hazardous to water.
Depending on their hazard potential and aggregate state, pressure devices are classified in Categories I to IV. The factors for this are the design pressure and volume of the tank. Each category includes one or more modules (module A to H/H1)
Sommer und Strassburger is a stamp holder for U and UM approvals of pressure equipment. Pressure equipment with a U or UM stamp is designed, calculated and manufactured in accordance with ASME rules.
Also called the China manufacturing licence or China stamp. Approval procedure of the Chinese authority for pressure tanks.
Sommer and Strassburger now also has the UKCA certificate.The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark is used as a replacement used for the CE marking requirements for products, placed on the market in Great Britain.
Pressure devices for the Canadian market must meet requirements of individual provinces. This may vary from province to province. Upon approval, a Canadian Registration Number is assigned to identify the pressure tank.
