We have been in the business of plant engineering and stainless steel processing for more than 50 years. At our location in Bretten – Gölshausen, we complete all production steps from one source in a 13,500 m² production and administration area. Approximately 160 employees work every day for our highest goal: your satisfaction. With our modern and versatile high-tech machinery, we are able to implement numerous manufacturing options, such as sawing, turning, milling, welded constructions and sheet metal processing.
As a stainless steel specialist, we know what really matters when it comes to selection. We process high-quality 1.4301, 1.4571, 1.4404 and 1.4435 stainless steels as standard and attach great importance to the highest material quality. We also have manufacturing and welding approvals for special materials, such as, among others, Duplex (1.4462), Super-Duplex (1.4410) or Hastelloy (2.4602), along with mixed joints. CNC machines, 3D milling machines, a 5-axis machining centre as well as plasma and orbital welding equipment are used in our manufacturing and assembly processes. We also perform pickling and e-polishing in house. We are constantly investing in the expansion of our machinery and our capacities in order to meet the high demand, both domestically and internationally.

GESCO AG, Wuppertal acquires 100% of the company shares and manages Sommer & Strassburger as an independent company within the corporate group. Michael Hilpp continues to be the managing director of the company.
